HFCL Invests ₹215 Cr in Data Center Tech Amid AI Boom

HFCL has secured approval to establish a cutting-edge manufacturing facility dedicated to Data Center Connectivity Products, representing a significant strategic move. This initiative involves an estimated capital outlay of Rs 215 crore, positioning the company to capitalize on burgeoning market demands.

HFCL’s Strategic Play in Connectivity

The new facility is designed to produce 2,70,000 assemblies per annum, addressing the escalating global demand for data center solutions. This surge is directly linked to the rapid deployment of Artificial Intelligence, the expansion of hyperscale data centers, advancements in cloud computing, high-performance computing needs, and the overall growth of high-speed networking infrastructure.

HFCL anticipates the commissioning of this new capacity by September 2027. This investment underscores the company’s commitment to supporting the foundational infrastructure driving the digital economy.

Oriental Rail Infra Secures Key Order

In a separate development, Oriental Rail Infrastructure has successfully secured an order valued at Rs 3.36 crore. This contract was awarded by Modern Coach Factory (MCF) in Raebareli, a division of Indian Railways.

The order mandates the in-house manufacturing of 50 sets of seat and berth components specifically for LWS(DDG) coaches. Oriental Rail Infrastructure is slated to complete the execution of this order by March 02, 2027.
