GPT Infraprojects’ wholly owned subsidiary, Alcon Builders and Engineers, has been declared L1 (First Lowest) for a substantial contract. This significant order is valued at Rs 97.31 crore and marks a key development for the company in the infrastructure sector.
The Office of the General Manager Northeast Frontier Railway, based in Maligaon, Guwahati, awarded this contract. Its primary objective is the provision of electronic interlocking systems, a crucial upgrade for modern railway operations.
Project Scope and Locations
The mandate of this order specifically targets ten distinct railway stations. These include ADF (Adina), AZR (Azamnagar Road), and KWE (Khurial), vital points within the regional network.
Additional stations covered by the project are MXJ (Mangurjan), TMH (Tinmilehat), and CAT (Chatterhat). The comprehensive scope also extends to SUD (Sudhani), TETA (Telta), PJP (Panjipara), and GIL (Gaisal) stations.
All specified locations are situated along the HDN/HUN route, which falls under the jurisdiction of the Katihar Division. This extensive rollout signifies a strategic investment in enhancing the safety and efficiency of railway lines in the region.
