Genrobotics partners with the Territorial Army on an MoU to advance indigenous robotics for national security, focusing on hazardous environments and critical infrastructure.
Robotics firm Genrobotics formalized a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Territorial Army (TA), signaling a new collaboration for robotics research and capability development. This agreement, solidified at the KYTA & TA 2.0 Symposium in Kolkata, focuses on advancing indigenous robotics for critical national applications.
Strategic Collaboration Areas
- Hazardous environment robotics, including disaster response and Humanitarian Assistance and Disaster Relief (HADR).
- Confined-space operations and critical infrastructure inspection.
- Engineer support, AI-enabled inspection, and remote sensing.
- Indigenous research and development, alongside technology demonstrations, user trials, and specialist training.
The MoU was signed by Maj Gen SS Patil for the Territorial Army and Vimal Govind M K, CEO and co-founder of Genrobotics. Govind also engaged in discussions at the symposium about integrating India’s civilian talent pool into military capability-building efforts.
