Hyderabad-based Gemini Edibles & Fats India (GEF) has officially filed draft papers with SEBI for an Initial Public Offering. This IPO is structured entirely as an offer-for-sale, encompassing up to 4.11 crore equity shares from existing stakeholders.
Significantly, GEF itself will not directly receive any proceeds from this offering. The transaction facilitates an exit for several key selling shareholders.

- Investors: Black River Food 2 Pte Ltd, Investment and Commercial Enterprise Pte Ltd
GEF’s core business involves the trading, processing, manufacturing, and marketing of edible oils and specialty fats. The company is also expanding its portfolio into spices and convenience foods, featuring popular brands such as Freedom, Be-Rite, and First Klass.
Market Footprint & Financials
The company maintains a strong presence as a leading regional branded edible oil player across Southern and Eastern India. GEF commanded the largest market share in the branded sunflower oil segment, reaching 18% in FY26.
Financially, GEF demonstrated robust growth. Its branded revenue achieved a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 20.5% between FY20 and FY25, outpacing the overall market’s 10.1% during the same period.
