Emcure Pharmaceuticals recorded a substantial financial uplift in the first quarter of fiscal year 2027, with consolidated profit after tax (PAT) soaring by 36.2% to Rs 292.5 crore. This strong performance for the quarter ending June 30, 2026, was accompanied by a 22.8% increase in revenue, reaching Rs 2,580.4 crore.

Managing Director and CEO Satish Mehta attributed the robust revenue growth to strong performance across all geographical segments. Both domestic and international markets demonstrated significant momentum, contributing to the overall financial expansion.

Geographical Performance and Strategic Moves

  • Domestic Business: 42.4% of consolidated revenue, grew 10.2% to Rs 1,095.3 crore.
  • International Revenue: 57.6% of consolidated total, increased 34.2% to Rs 1,485.1 crore.
  • Domestic drivers: Key brands in CNS, cardiology, and women’s health segments.
  • International drivers: New product launches and favorable currency movements in Europe, Canada, and the Rest of the World.

The company maintained its investment in innovation, deploying Rs 90.4 crore into research and development during the quarter, representing 3.5% of its revenue. These efforts culminated in over 15 new product approvals globally.

Emcure also implemented strategic organizational adjustments, including the appointment of Samit Mehta as Chief Operating Officer. Furthermore, Satish Mehta is set to transition to the role of Chairman, alongside his existing responsibilities, following Chairman Berjis Desai’s retirement from the Board.

The strong Q1 FY27 results signify a robust start to the second year of Emcure’s five-year strategic plan, indicating positive traction across its key business initiatives and operational efficiencies.
