The National Stock Exchange (NSE) recorded a substantial Rs 39,718 crore turnover during its Closing Auction Session (CAS) on Monday, August 31, 2026. This figure represented 22% of the day’s total cash market turnover.

Monday’s session also marked one month since the closing auction mechanism went live on August 3. In its inaugural month, the NSE’s CAS accumulated a total turnover of approximately Rs 63,000 crore. During this period, NSE maintained a dominant market share of 98.2% in the CAS.
