J&K Digitizes 70 Lakh Land Parcels for AgriStack

Jammu and Kashmir is actively digitising and updating approximately 70 lakh land parcels. This significant undertaking aims to modernize revenue administration and establish a verified land database crucial for integration with the Central government’s AgriStack framework.

• Nearly 70 lakh land parcels are undergoing digitisation and updation.
• Over 13 lakh discrepancies have been rectified following public grievances.
• 31.26 lakh khasra records are already converted for AgriStack integration.

This extensive digitisation effort, led by the revenue department in partnership with BISAG-N under the Digital India Land Records Modernisation Programme (DILRMP), extends beyond simple scanning. It involves a comprehensive process to ensure accuracy and public validation.

• Three-Tier Mechanism: A dedicated software platform supports a maker-checker-approver system for accountability.
