MV Electrosystems is set to launch its Initial Public Offering (IPO) valued at ₹290 crore, with subscriptions opening on July 30 and closing on August 3, 2026. Shares are priced between ₹400 and ₹425 each. Allotment is anticipated by August 4, with listing expected on the NSE and BSE by August 6.
Key Issue Details
The entire IPO consists solely of a fresh issue of equity shares, meaning all proceeds will flow directly to the company. Retail investors must bid for a minimum of 34 shares, translating to an investment of ₹14,450 at the upper price band.
The company plans to allocate ₹180 crore towards long-term working capital needs. Another ₹21 crore is earmarked for research, design, and development of new power electronic equipment, with the remainder for general corporate purposes.
Investor Backing & Promoters
Investor Madhuri Madhusudan Kela held approximately 5.6% stake in MV Electrosystems at the time of the DRHP filing. The company’s promoters include Mohit Vohra, Amit Dhawan, Sumit Dhawan, Rahul Dhawan, Sonali Dhawan, and Ramendra Pratap Singh.
Reservations for the issue follow SEBI norms: 75% for Qualified Institutional Buyers (QIBs), 15% for Non-Institutional Investors (NIIs), and 10% for Retail Individual Investors (RIIs).
Company Operations & Outlook
Established in 2009, MV Electrosystems Ltd. designs, develops, assembles, and manufactures electrical and power electronics equipment for railway rolling stock. Their product portfolio notably includes IGBT-based three-phase drive propulsion systems for electric locomotives, along with switchgear panels for railway coaches and EMUs.
The company’s revenue is exclusively derived from the railway rolling stock electronics segment. As of October 31, 2025, MV Electrosystems reported an order book of ₹194.96 crore, ensuring future revenue visibility.
MV Electrosystems is well-positioned to benefit from India’s ongoing railway modernization and localization efforts, having developed indigenous propulsion systems for modern rolling stock like Vande Bharat trains. The company’s revenue from operations stood at ₹17.3 crore for the four months ended July 31, 2025.
