The stock began trading at Rs 519 on the BSE, marking a 22.11% increase from its issue price. On the NSE, shares opened at Rs 520, up 22.35% from the initial offer. This strong opening set the tone for the day’s performance.
By the end of the trading day, MV Electrosystems shares settled at Rs 622.75 on the BSE, representing a 46.52% surge over the IPO price. Similarly, on the NSE, the stock finished at Rs 624, reflecting a 46.82% rally. The significant premium underscored robust investor confidence.
Oversubscription and Market Valuation
The company’s IPO itself was met with overwhelming investor demand, being subscribed an impressive 188.85 times on its closing day. The offering, which was priced between Rs 400 and Rs 425 per share, was fully subscribed on its first day of bidding. It involved a fresh issuance of equity shares totaling up to Rs 290 crore.
Following its successful debut, MV Electrosystems achieved a market capitalization of Rs 1,699.03 crore on the BSE. Trading activity was substantial, with 17.42 lakh shares exchanging hands on the BSE and 175.38 lakh shares on the NSE. This high volume indicates considerable market interest.
