The MSCI India Index is set for a substantial overhaul, with four new companies joining its ranks and three others being removed. These critical adjustments to the MSCI Global Standard Indexes are slated to become effective at the close of August 31, 2026.

MSCI India Index Adjustments

The companies newly added to the prominent MSCI India Index include Adani Energy Solutions, Billionbrains Garage Ventures, known as Groww, Laurus Labs, and Lenskart Solutions. These additions reflect a significant shift in the index’s composition.

Conversely, Astral Ltd, Balkrishna Industries, and SBI Cards and Payment Services are scheduled to exit the MSCI India Index. Their removal will alter the representation of various sectors within the benchmark.

MSCI Global Small Cap Index Changes

In a separate review, the MSCI Global Small Cap index will also experience considerable modifications. A total of 14 companies are earmarked for addition, prominently featuring Amagi Media Labs, Ather Energy, and L&T Technology Services among others.

Simultaneously, 19 companies are slated for removal from the MSCI Global Small Cap index. Notable entities set to depart include Aurionpro Solutions and Mastek Ltd, indicating a broader repositioning within the small-cap segment.

These comprehensive adjustments across both the MSCI India Index and the MSCI Global Small Cap index underscore ongoing rebalancing efforts, with all changes taking full effect from the close of August 31, 2026.
