Key Highlights

Jupiter Wagons secured a ₹1,140 crore order from the Ministry of Railways to manufacture 2,583 wagons for the national rail network.

Jupiter Wagons secured an order worth ₹1,140 crore from the Ministry of Railways for the manufacture and supply of 2,583 wagons. This contract follows the company’s performance in the wagon procurement programme of Indian Railways. The order includes taxes and contributes to the company’s current order pipeline.

The Railway Board awarded the contract to Jupiter Wagons to produce and deliver the specified number of wagons. The company stated that this award reflects its sustained execution record within the railway procurement programme. Building on this development, the company expects incremental order inflows of around ₹2,000 crore in Q4 FY27.

Beyond its work with the Ministry of Railways, the company maintains an order book from private sector clients. This includes demand from wagon leasing firms, private freight operators, and customers in the core sector. The company noted that this mix of government and private demand supports a diversified order pipeline. Jupiter Wagons also manufactures vehicle bodies for commercial vehicle original equipment manufacturers.
