Emcure has announced an average price reduction of 47% for its semaglutide injection. The company has significantly lowered the cost of the starting dose by 55%, bringing it down to Rs 3,999 per month, which includes four weekly doses.

The innovator semaglutide is administered via a once-weekly pen device and is available in five strengths: 0.25 mg, 0.5 mg, 1.0 mg, 1.7 mg, and a maintenance dose of 2.4 mg. The highest dose is priced at Rs 8,999 for a month’s supply.
