Bharti Airtel recorded a 35.45% year-on-year increase in its consolidated net profit for the June quarter, reaching ₹8,057.2 crore, excluding exceptional items. This significant growth was driven by robust performance across its Indian mobile operations and the African business segment.
The telco achieved a record one million net postpaid user additions, marking its highest ever in a single quarter. Concurrently, its smartphone data customer base saw continuous expansion, contributing to overall revenue growth.

Bharti Airtel’s average revenue per user (ARPU) stood at ₹264, a 2.72% sequential climb, positioning it as the highest in the sector. This metric notably surpassed competitor Reliance Jio’s ARPU of ₹215.6, underscoring Airtel’s premium market standing.
The company’s India business revenue, which includes passive infrastructure services, increased by 10% year-on-year, reaching ₹41,214 crore. This growth was bolstered by premiumization strategies in mobile services and robust momentum within its home and enterprise segments. This marks Bharti Airtel’s 19th consecutive quarter of profitability.
Beyond domestic success, the telco also increased its stake in its African business to over 79% through a strategic share swap. Capital expenditure for the quarter amounted to ₹13,386 crore, with ₹4,576.4 crore specifically allocated to mobile services in India, reflecting ongoing network investments.
