Bharat Forge’s Aerospace Division has strategically partnered with French-Canadian firm Flying Whales, signing a Memorandum of Understanding to jointly develop, manufacture, and deploy advanced heavy-lift airships across India.

This collaboration centers on the **LCA60T** platform, an airship designed to transport substantial cargo, marking a significant leap for India’s defense and logistical capabilities.

Elevating India’s Strategic Mobility

The initiative is poised to substantially bolster India’s defence logistics, enhance strategic mobility, and improve surveillance capabilities.

This move places the nation among an exclusive group globally possessing the expertise to design, build, and operate such sophisticated heavy-lift airships, as confirmed by Bharat Forge.

• The LCA60T airship can transport up to **60 tonnes** of cargo.
• It features vertical take-off and landing (VTOL) capabilities.
• Operations require minimal ground infrastructure.
