Sun Pharma gains Brazil approval for semaglutide. SBI Card partners with Google Pay for a new co-branded card. Waaree Energies commissions solar projects.

Sun Pharmaceutical Industries has secured regulatory approval from the Brazilian Health Regulatory Agency (ANVISA) to manufacture and market semaglutide injection in Brazil. This approval targets adults with inadequately controlled type 2 diabetes mellitus, to be used as an adjunct to diet and exercise.

Sun Pharma plans to launch the product in the next few days in partnership with Hypera Pharma, a prominent pharmaceutical company in Brazil.

Brazilian Market Expansion

The semaglutide injection will be available as a pre-filled, multi-dose injectable pen, designed for flexible, once-weekly dosing.

  • Approved Strengths: 2 mg/1.5 mL and 4 mg/3 mL

New Co-Branded Card Launch

Separately, SBI Cards and Payment Services, in collaboration with Google Pay, has introduced the ‘Google Pay Flex SBI Card’. This co-branded offering is specifically designed to simplify and elevate the everyday payment experience for consumers.

The card delivers a convenient blend of rewards, flexibility, and security, effectively bringing together SBI Cards’ trusted credit card expertise with Google Pay’s extensive digital ecosystem.

Waaree Energies Commissions Solar Capacity

In the renewable energy sector, Waaree Energies has successfully commissioned a significant portion of its solar power facility located at Neemuch Solar Park in Madhya Pradesh.

This commissioning event, which occurred on July 28, 2026, represents a crucial step in expanding the company’s operational solar generation capabilities within the region.
