Paul Merchants Limited has secured a perpetual Authorised Dealer Category-II license from the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) under the Foreign Exchange Management (Authorised Persons) Regulations, 2026. This pivotal approval substantially broadens the company’s foreign exchange operations and its service offerings throughout India.
The new license empowers Paul Merchants to conduct additional non-trade current account transactions, with the specific exclusion of gifts and donations. Furthermore, it permits the firm to facilitate foreign trade transactions, capped at Rs. 25 lakh per individual transaction.
Expanded Transaction Capabilities
This regulatory change allows Paul Merchants to engage in a wider array of financial services. The focus remains on legitimate non-trade and foreign trade activities, providing more options for individuals and businesses.
Specifically, the license enables transactions that fall outside traditional merchandise trade, such as international service payments. The Rs. 25 lakh limit ensures a structured approach to managing foreign trade transaction volumes through the company.
