Jio Financial Services partners with Bank of America in a Rs 18,268 crore deal, gaining access to global technology, governance, and growth capital.
Jio Financial Services (JFS) has formalized a strategic tie-up with Bank of America (BofA), a deal valued at Rs 18,268 crore. This partnership is set to provide JFS with crucial access to BofA’s global technology, advanced governance, and established risk management practices.
Hitesh Sethia, Managing Director of JFS, confirmed that the collaboration will also inject significant growth capital. Jio Credit, a non-banking financial company, will see BofA acquire nearly 50% equity, leveraging the American bank’s extensive expertise.
Strategic Financial Inflows and Ventures
JFS maintains a profitable operational stance, actively avoiding aggressive cash burn in its strategy. The company has infused Rs 2,900 crore in equity across its various subsidiaries and joint ventures during FY26.
- JFS’s neural agentic marketplace is currently processing approximately 34,000 daily purchases.
- The asset management joint venture has successfully onboarded over 11,000 mutual fund distributors.
- More than 800 dedicated distributors are now active for SIF offerings within this venture.
The company is making steady progress in its other financial ventures. Discussions with Allianz for the life insurance business are ongoing, while regulatory approvals for the general insurance business are in process.

Jio Payments Bank recorded an operational turnaround in Q1FY27, demonstrating the effectiveness of its strategy. This turnaround highlights the bank’s ability to scale transaction throughput while maintaining sustainable unit economics.
Its asset management venture, established with BlackRock, and insurance collaborations with Allianz represent diversified growth avenues. These initiatives underscore JFS’s commitment to expanding its financial ecosystem through strategic partnerships and internal development.
