Key Portfolio Shifts in July
A report from Nuvama Alternative & Quantitative Research detailed the significant changes in mutual fund holdings:
- Axis Bank: Added ₹4,000 crore
- INDO-MIM: Added ₹3,700 crore
- Kotak Mahindra Bank: Added ₹3,600 crore
- ICICI Bank: Reduced ₹3,700 crore
- Eternal: Reduced ₹3,300 crore
- Reliance Industries: Reduced ₹2,400 crore
Largecap Segment Dynamics
In the largecap category, mutual funds actively rebalanced their positions:
- Notable Buying: Adani Enterprises, TCS, M&M, SBI Funds Management, and Adani Energy Solutions.
- Significant Selling: Reliance Industries, Larsen & Toubro, Bajaj Auto, Apollo Hospitals, and Cholamandalam Investment and Finance Company.
Consistent additions for three consecutive months included HDFC Bank, Bajaj Finance, HindUnilever, M&M, and Adani Power, indicating sustained conviction in these largecap entities.
Midcap and Smallcap Movements
Midcap stocks also saw considerable shifts within mutual fund portfolios:
- Midcap Buying: INDO-MIM, Biocon, PB Fintech, Lenskart Solutions, and Havells India.
- Midcap Reductions: Info Edge (India), Anthem Bioscience, J K Cements, FSN E-Commerce, and Page Industries.
The smallcap segment experienced targeted adjustments:
- Smallcap Buying: Sterlite Tech, Diamond Power, Lohia Corp Ltd., Shadowfax Techno, and KFin Technologies.
