Bajaj Finance approves allotment of secured NCDs worth ₹498.22 crore at 7.79% interest, reinforcing its financial strength alongside robust Q1FY27 profits.

Bajaj Finance’s Debenture Allotment Committee has approved the issuance of secured, redeemable non-convertible debentures (NCDs) valued at Rs 498.22 crore through a private placement. These NCDs carry an annual interest rate of 7.79%.

  • Maturity Date: July 4, 2036
  • Annual Interest Payments Begin: July 6, 2027

The debentures are secured by a first pari-passu charge on the company’s book debts and loan receivables, maintaining a security cover of not less than 1.00 time the aggregate outstanding value. This follows a substantial prior allotment of Rs 5,307 crore worth of NCDs on July 6, 2026.

Q1FY27 Financial Performance

Bajaj Finance also reported strong financial results for Q1FY27, with consolidated net profit significantly increasing year-on-year. Net interest income demonstrated a notable jump for the quarter.

  • Consolidated Net Profit: Rs 5,986 crore, up 27.4% year-on-year
  • Net Interest Income: Rs 12,571 crore, a 23% increase
  • Gross Non-Performing Loans (GNPL): Improved to 0.96% from 1.03% in the previous quarter
  • Loan Losses and Provisions: Increased to Rs 1,993 crore

These financial metrics underscore the company’s continued growth trajectory and its strategic capital-raising efforts in the current fiscal year.
