The Shri Ram Janmbhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust has completed its interview process for the organization’s first full-time CEO, signaling a clear focus on professional merit.
Candidates for this significant role were assessed strictly on their professional experience, vision, and management capabilities, rather than any personal or religious practices, according to sources.
Interviews explicitly avoided questions about personal habits, such as consuming liquor or being teetotallers.
Religious practices like vegetarianism were not part of the inquiry.
Even details regarding attire, like sporting a ‘janeu’ (sacred thread), were not brought up.
Rigorous Search for Leadership
The selection process was a rigorous, multi-round affair, designed to find the most capable leader for the Ram temple project.
Initial applicants submitted comprehensive CVs detailing their management capabilities, experience in large-scale event and personnel handling, personal excellence, language proficiency, vision, and strategic plans.
This was followed by online interactions where candidates demonstrated communication skills, professional experience, vision, personality, leadership qualities, and technological acumen.
The final round brought 16 top candidates to Ayodhya for face-to-face interviews.
Diverse Expertise and Forward Vision
These finalists represented a diverse range of sectors, including defence, bureaucracy, corporate, industrial, education, and IT, all described as accomplished professionals.
The interviews, held on August 11 and 12, 2026, focused intensely on management skills, personality, vision, strategic plans, technology expertise, and leadership potential.
A distinguished Search Committee, comprising Justice Permod Kohli (retd), Lieutenant General V K Chaturvedi (retd.), and nuclear scientist Dr Suresh Hawre, oversaw the process.
This committee will now recommend three names to the Trust, upholding a commitment to transparency and merit-based selection.
