‘Awarapan 2’ emerged as the clear frontrunner, quickly accumulating a substantial collection on its first day. Industry tracker Sacnilk reported an impressive total for the film.

Awarapan 2’s Strong Opening

• ‘Awarapan 2’ collected Rs 20.50 crore by 10:30 PM on its first day.
• The film’s total box office reached Rs 21 crore, according to Sacnilk.
• Advance bookings saw 2,85,802 tickets sold for Day 1.
• Pre-sale revenue without blocked seats was Rs 8.57 crore.
• Including blocked seats, pre-sale revenue hit Rs 11.36 crore, marking the year’s third-biggest pre-sale.

In contrast, ‘Batwara 1947’, featuring Sunny Deol and Preity Zinta, garnered a more modest sum across its many showings. The film’s overall performance, including global figures, remained significantly lower.
