Astra Microwave Products recently secured a substantial order from Hindustan Aeronautics, marking a pivotal development for its defense sector involvement.

Defense Sector Boost

• The order is valued at Rs 2205.23 crore, inclusive of all applicable taxes and GST.
• It involves the procurement of 122 Nos. of AAAU and 121 Interface Frames for Uttam Radar.
• Execution for this critical defense project is slated to occur within five years.

This contract underscores Astra Microwave Products’ specialized capabilities in designing and manufacturing sub-systems for RF and microwave systems, which are crucial for defense, space, meteorology, and telecommunication applications.

Hospitality Expansion

In the hospitality sector, Lemon Tree Hotels continues its growth trajectory with a new opening and a robust pipeline.

• The group inaugurated Keys Prima by Lemon Tree Hotels, Kempty Road, Mussoorie.
• This new property features 47 well-appointed rooms, along with extensive amenities including a restaurant, bar, banquet facilities, swimming pool, fitness centre, and spa.
• It represents the group’s second operational hotel in Mussoorie.
• Lemon Tree Hotels now operates 10 hotels in Uttarakhand, with an additional 11 properties in the pipeline across the state.

The hotel’s management is handled by Carnation Ho, a wholly owned subsidiary of Lemon Tree Hotels, reinforcing its operational structure.

Multiplex Growth in Emerging Cities

PVR Inox is extending its footprint into emerging cities, demonstrating a clear strategy for market penetration in the entertainment industry.

• The company launched a new 3-screen multiplex in Jabalpur, Madhya Pradesh.
• This expansion brings PVR Inox’s total operations in Madhya Pradesh to 10 cinemas with 55 screens.
• Across Central India, the company now manages 42 cinemas with 204 screens.

The Jabalpur multiplex commenced operations by screening Marvel Studios’ SpiderMan: Brand New Day, signaling its commitment to bringing popular content to new markets.
