Apex Frozen Food shares surged over 17% after reporting a 137% year-over-year net profit increase to ₹21 crore in Q1 FY27, driven by strong operational gains and improved margins.
Shares of Apex Frozen Food experienced a significant surge of over 17% on Friday, following the announcement of robust financial results for the first quarter of fiscal year 2027. This substantial market movement was directly attributed to a remarkable increase in the company’s net profit.
Q1 FY27 Earnings Breakdown
- Net profit soared by 137% year-over-year, climbing to ₹21 crore from ₹9.09 crore reported in the corresponding period last year.
- Earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation, and amortisation (EBITDA) nearly doubled, reaching ₹31 crore, up from ₹16 crore in Q1 FY26.
- Sequentially, EBITDA jumped over 140% from the ₹13 crore recorded in Q4 FY26, showcasing strong quarter-on-quarter growth.
The company’s operating margins also saw a significant improvement, doubling from 6% in Q1 FY26 to 12% in Q1 FY27. This expansion was partly driven by favorable inventory gains, which contributed ₹28.5 crore during the quarter.
Revenue and Market Performance
- Revenue for Q1 FY27 stood at ₹256 crore, maintaining stability compared to ₹258 crore reported in the same quarter of the previous fiscal year.
- However, sequential revenue performance was robust, showing a strong growth of 52.8% from ₹167.8 crore in the fourth quarter of FY26.
Apex Frozen Food’s share price has demonstrated consistent outperformance throughout 2026, delivering a 50% return year-to-date. Over the past twelve months, the stock has generated impressive returns exceeding 77%, underscoring its strong market trajectory.
