Ambuja Neotia Healthcare Venture Ltd (ANHVL) is embarking on a significant expansion, committing approximately ₹2,200 crore over the next four to five years. This strategic move aims to bolster its healthcare presence across eastern India, substantially increasing its total bed capacity.
The company projects an increase to 2,500 beds, adding close to 1,800 new beds to its network. This aggressive growth trajectory underscores a clear focus on meeting escalating regional healthcare demands.

A pivotal part of this growth includes a new 120-bed woman and child care facility in Howrah, requiring an investment of around ₹150 crore. Managing Director Parthiv Neotia highlighted Howrah as a crucial growth corridor where demand for specialized services is rising.
This facility, part of the Neotia Bhagirathi Woman and Child Care Centre network, is slated to become operational by April 2029. It aims to provide advanced clinical expertise, reducing the necessity for patients to travel long distances for comprehensive maternal, neonatal, and pediatric care.
Strategic Initiatives and New Projects
- Current Operations: Four healthcare facilities with 700 combined beds
- Development Pipeline: Six additional projects underway
- Asset-Light Model: Pursued for several forthcoming projects to enhance capital efficiency
- Partnership in Durgapur: With Amit Metaliks, providing land and infrastructure for a woman and child care hospital managed by ANHVL
- Upcoming Centers: Specialized woman and child care center in Raipur by year-end; multispeciality hospitals in Guwahati, Taratala (Kolkata), and New Town (Kolkata)
