Airtel Money prices its London Stock Exchange IPO at GBP 1.96 per share, achieving an estimated market capitalization of GBP 5.3 billion.

Airtel Africa has officially priced the initial public offering of its mobile money division, Airtel Money, on the London Stock Exchange at GBP 1.96 per share. This initial share price establishes an estimated market capitalization of GBP 5.3 billion at the time of admission.

Key Figures and Listing Details

Airtel Mobile Commerce N.V. is pursuing a listing on the Official List of the Financial Conduct Authority and trading on the London Stock Exchange’s Main Market. Admission is scheduled to occur on 14 October 2026, following initial notice given on 23 September 2026.

The public offering involves the sale of 270,000,000 existing shares by current shareholders. An over-allotment option allows for the potential sale of up to an additional 27,000,000 existing shares.

Shareholder Structure and Free Float

Airtel Africa intends to remain a long-term strategic shareholder to support the development of Airtel Money as an independent business. Excluding the over-allotment option, Airtel Africa does not plan to sell its existing shares during this offering.

Public ownership, or free float, is projected to account for approximately 16.5% of the issued ordinary share capital. If the full over-allotment option is exercised, this figure is expected to reach about 17.5%.

This level of public float positions the company to be eligible for inclusion in FTSE UK indices. The strategic move unlocks value within the fintech operations and provides capital to support broader growth initiatives across the African continent.
