UAE companies express strong interest in Rajasthan’s hospitality and energy sectors. CM invites investment, seeking enhanced air connectivity between Jaipur and Dubai.

Rajasthan Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma extended an invitation to companies from the United Arab Emirates (UAE) to invest in the state’s energy and hospitality sectors. This call was made during the UAE-Rajasthan Tourism and Investment Round Table meeting held in Jaipur.

UAE Minister of Economy and Tourism Abdullah bin Touq Al Marri confirmed strong interest from Emirati companies in Rajasthan’s hospitality sector. He also expressed a desire to enhance air connectivity between Jaipur and Dubai, signaling potential for further economic integration.

Rajasthan’s Investment Landscape

Chief Minister Sharma highlighted Rajasthan’s rich cultural heritage and significant tourism potential, presenting it as a conducive investment environment. The state boasts numerous forts, palaces, havelis, deserts, and wildlife sanctuaries, attracting global visitors.

Beyond tourism, Rajasthan possesses abundant resources in gems, jewellery, handicrafts, textiles, and minerals. The Chief Minister assured potential investors of comprehensive support from the state government, emphasizing the mutual benefits of such investments.

Proactive Policies and Energy Goals

Rajasthan has implemented proactive policies, such as the Rajasthan Aerospace and Defence Policy, designed to foster a favorable industrial ecosystem. The state is also making rapid progress towards achieving self-reliance in the energy sector.

Furthermore, in alignment with Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision for development balanced with heritage preservation, 662 historic havelis in the Shekhawati region have been identified for conservation efforts.

Strengthening Bilateral Ties

CM Sharma underscored the strengthening bilateral ties between India and the UAE, referencing Prime Minister Modi’s visit to the UAE in May 2026. He noted that annual bilateral trade between the two nations has consistently exceeded USD 100 billion over the past two years.

The substantial Indian diaspora, comprising approximately 4.5 million individuals residing in the UAE, including many from Rajasthan, acts as a vital bridge between the two countries. Minister Al Marri echoed these sentiments, highlighting the special relationship between the leaders of both nations and the positive impact of the Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement (CEPA) on economic relations.

Future Engagement Prospects

Minister Al Marri extended an invitation for Chief Minister Sharma to visit Dubai, indicating a commitment to further discussions and partnerships. The productive meeting in Jaipur saw the participation of key officials, including Rajasthan Chief Secretary V Srinivas and Tourism Secretary Suchi Tyagi.
