Pride Hotels plans a Rs 1,000 crore IPO by December to fuel expansion, targeting 72 properties and focusing on leisure and MICE segments.
Pride Hotels, the Mumbai-based hospitality chain, is pushing for an Initial Public Offering (IPO) of around Rs 1,000 crore, targeting a launch by December.
This move follows a significant portfolio expansion, with nine new hotels added in the last 12 months.

Operational Hurdles
Operational costs present a challenge, with gas and electricity expenses seeing an 8-9% increase, impacting profitability.
CMD S P Jain also highlighted the complex and time-consuming licensing process within the hospitality industry as a significant hurdle, delaying hotel openings.
To counter rising costs, Pride Hotels is investing in renewable energy sources like wind and solar power, alongside energy-efficient equipment.
While the current focus remains domestic, future international expansion in areas with substantial Indian traveler traffic is a possibility.
