India’s IPO market surged in H2 2026, with average listing gains hitting a remarkable 20.9%. This represents a nearly twelve-fold increase from the 1.72% average seen in the first half of the year.
H2 2026 Performance Surge
Between July 1 and August 19, 25 Initial Public Offerings saw this dramatic increase in debut-day returns. The shift signals robust investor interest in new market offerings after a subdued start to the year.
Top Performers Emerge
- Behari Lal Engineering led with a 78.25% gain on its debut.
- Shiprocket saw a 47.94% increase, while Technocraft Ventures gained 46.77%.
- MV Electrosystems (46.53%), Dhoot Transmission (36.34%), and Milky Mist Dairy Food (29.61%) also posted strong debuts.
- Molbio Diagnostics rose 28.41%, Indo-MIM 52.95%, Kusumgar Industries 46.53%, and Advit Jewels 30.04%.
- Larger offerings like Manipal Health Enterprises and Juniper Green Energy also delivered healthy gains of 13% and 15.38% respectively.
First Half Caution
The first half of 2026 was notably more cautious, with only a 1.72% average gain across 22 IPOs. Some offerings closed below their issue prices on debut, including LEAP India which fell by -8.74%.
- Shadowfax Technologies dropped -11.37%, and Fractal Analytics fell -5.84%.
- Clean Max Enviro Energy Solutions recorded -17.58%, Shree Ram Twistex -29.38%, and Innovision -28.17%.
Secondary market volatility, including a 9% fall in the Nifty 50 due to foreign institutional investor outflows and geopolitical tensions, impacted these earlier performances. The Nifty 50 has since recovered about 1.8% from its June-end levels.
