  • Gas connections increased six times for households.
  • Housing for the underprivileged rose three times the previous rates.

Pillars of Self-Reliance and Governance

Modi emphasized self-reliance as a central tenet of India’s developmental journey. He urged continued support for key domestic initiatives designed to bolster local industries and consumption.

These initiatives include ‘Make in India’, ‘Swadeshi’, and ‘Vocal for Local’, all aimed at fostering indigenous production and consumption. The government also focused on streamlining administration to improve efficiency.
