Streamlined UAN Access

One major change simplifies how you generate, activate, and authenticate your Universal Account Number (UAN). You can now use face authentication via the UMANG app, which relies on your Aadhaar-based verification.

Faster PF Claim Settlements

Good news for when you need your PF funds: the auto-settlement facility for advance PF claims has been expanded. This means you can get your money faster for specific needs.

Key Numbers to Remember:

• The claim limit has increased to Rs 5 lakh.
• Eligible claims are processed within approximately three days.

These eligible claims cover important life events like illness, education, marriage, and housing, making it easier to access funds when you truly need them.

Easy PF Transfers When You Switch Jobs

Changing jobs can be complicated, but transferring your PF account doesn’t have to be. Automatic PF transfers are now possible if your accounts meet certain conditions.

• Your accounts must be KYC-compliant.
• Your accounts need to be Aadhaar-verified.

This ensures a seamless transition of your savings as you move forward in your career.

Keeping Tabs on Your PF with Ease

Monitoring your PF balance and transactions is now more straightforward than ever. EPFO has introduced a new tool designed to give you a quick overview of your funds.

• ‘Passbook Lite’ helps you track your PF balance.
• You can also see your contributions and transactions easily.

Simplified Online Claim Process and Document Access

Filing an online PF claim has gotten simpler, removing some previous hurdles. You no longer need to upload certain documents for eligible claims, which should speed up processing significantly.

You can also access important provident fund documents digitally through DigiLocker, including your UAN Cards, Pension Payment Orders (PPO), and Scheme Certificates. Additionally, you can download Annexure-K directly from the EPFO member portal, putting essential paperwork at your fingertips.

Broader Scheme Benefits

Finally, EPFO has integrated with the Pradhan Mantri Viksit Bharat Rozgar Yojana. This integration allows eligible members to access benefits under this employment-linked scheme, offering more support.
