Zerodha Kite App: Unified Investing for Stocks & Mutual Funds
By ThePip Desk
Zerodha integrates mutual funds into Kite app, enabling 3M+ investors to manage stocks & mutual funds on one platform. Streamlining user experience for unified investing.
Zerodha is set to integrate mutual fund investing directly into its Kite trading app. This strategic move will allow investors to manage both their stocks and mutual funds from a single, unified platform.
The integration aims to eliminate the current redirection to the Coin app for mutual fund purchases. Neelesh Verma, head of mutual funds at Zerodha, confirmed this significant development.
Streamlining User Experience
This consolidation is expected to leverage Kite’s already substantial user base. The goal is to deepen Zerodha’s presence in the mutual fund sector, which currently serves over 3 million investors.
Historically, Zerodha has maintained separate digital environments for its diverse offerings. Kite was designed for active equity trading, while the Coin app specifically catered to passive investment instruments.
The timing of this platform unification also coincides with a period of expansion for Zerodha’s fund business. This includes the recent introduction of the Zerodha Arbitrage Fund to the market.
By bringing these functionalities together, Zerodha seeks to streamline the overall investment process for its users. This initiative aims to enhance both convenience and efficiency across its financial product ecosystem.
