BSE Limited announces record Q1 FY27 revenue of Rs. 17,068 million, a 63% YoY jump, fueled by a massive surge in equity derivatives trading.

BSE Limited achieved its 14th consecutive quarter of record revenue in Q1 FY27, reporting consolidated revenue of Rs. 17,068 million, a significant 63% year-over-year increase. Net profit attributable to shareholders also surged by 66% to Rs. 8,727 million, following investor slide publication on August 4, 2026.

This robust financial performance was primarily fueled by an explosive surge in equity derivatives activity. Revenue from the equity derivatives segment alone reached Rs. 11,550 million in Q1 FY27, a substantial increase from Rs. 2 million in Q1 FY24.

Beyond derivatives, BSE demonstrated strength across its diversified financial infrastructure. The BSE StAR Mutual Fund platform and listing services also contributed significantly to the overall growth during the quarter.

BSE’s wholly-owned subsidiary, BSE Clearing Limited (BSECL), upgraded its real-time risk management system, enhancing daily trade capacity. Furthermore, BSE Index Services Private Limited (BISPL) manages over 200 indices, with total assets under management tracked by passive products and active benchmarking reaching Rs. 9.78 lakh crores.

EPS Growth and Strategic Outlook

  • Consolidated EPS Q1 FY27: Rs. 21.22
  • Consolidated EPS FY26: Rs. 60.61 (from Rs. 3.51 in FY21)

Looking ahead, BSE will directly manage global market data distribution starting January 1, 2027, following the conclusion of its partnership with Deutsche Börse.
