AnantGrid Projects One, an associate of Bajel Project, secures a significant inter-state power transmission scheme in Gujarat, strengthening India’s energy infrastructure.
AnantGrid Projects One (AGPOPL), an associate company of Bajel Project, has officially received a Letter of Intent (LoI) from PFC Consulting (PFCCL). This pivotal development declares AGPOPL the successful bidder for a crucial inter-state transmission scheme, reinforcing its role in India’s power infrastructure.
Key Project Details
- The scheme, titled ‘Common Transmission System for evacuation of power from Lakadia (Phase-II: 7.5GW), Jam Khambhaliya (Phase-II: 5.5GW) and Jamnagar (Phase-I: 1GW) – Part-A,’ represents a significant expansion.
- AGPOPL secured this mandate after emerging as the L1 bidder following an e-reverse auction for the TBCB scheme, which concluded on August 06-07, 2026.
- The project encompasses the construction of approximately 270 Km of 765 KV double-circuit transmission lines, connecting Halvad to Vadodara within the state of Gujarat.
- Additional works are slated for three substations: Halvad, Vadodara, and South Olpad, enhancing regional power connectivity.
Corporate Structure and Strategic Impact
AGPOPL operates as a joint venture, with Bajel Project holding a 26% stake and the National Investment and Infrastructure Fund contributing the remaining 74%. This ownership structure highlights a collaborative approach to large-scale infrastructure development.
Bajel Projects itself is a prominent entity in the power infrastructure sector, maintaining a robust presence across both power transmission and distribution segments. This LoI for its associate company signals continued strategic growth and reinforces its footprint in critical national projects.
The successful bid by AGPOPL underscores the ongoing expansion in India’s inter-state transmission network, crucial for supporting increased power generation capacities across key regions.
