EduFund unveils Vittam, a new financial distribution platform for Indian advisors, expanding services beyond mutual funds to include education, insurance, loans, and wealth management.

EduFund has officially launched Vittam, a new financial distribution platform aimed at empowering Mutual Fund Distributors (MFDs) and Independent Financial Advisors (IFAs) across India. This platform is designed to broaden the scope of services advisors offer, moving beyond traditional mutual funds.

Vittam addresses the increasingly complex financial needs of Indian families, which now encompass education planning, insurance, loans, retirement solutions, global investment opportunities, and general wealth creation strategies. It represents a strategic expansion from EduFund’s initial focus on education savings.

Expanding Advisor Capabilities

The introduction of Vittam follows approximately one year after EduFund successfully raised $6 million in a Series A funding round. EduFund, which began by assisting families with children’s education savings, now serves over 300,000 families as a broader financial planning platform.

Vittam seeks to provide essential infrastructure for financial advisors in India amidst the rapid growth of the mutual fund industry. The platform consolidates product access, technology, research, marketing support, training, and operational assistance into a single, integrated solution.

Currently, Vittam is operational with more than 500 MFD and IFA partners. This integration aims to streamline processes and enhance the capabilities of independent advisors.

Integrated Product Offerings

EduFund emphasizes that Vittam is built to strengthen the advisor-client relationship, rather than replacing human advisors with technology. Eela Dubey, Co-Founder and CEO of EduFund and Vittam, stated the platform delivers the necessary infrastructure to support the trust advisors have cultivated with Indian families, simplifying their journey by overcoming fragmented tools, limited product access, and manual processes.

The platform facilitates digital client onboarding and provides access to a diverse array of financial products. These include mutual funds, education loans, US market investments, GIFT City funds, and immigration-by-investment services.

Vittam also supports forex, goal-based financial planning, research, and transaction management. Advisors benefit from ready-to-use marketing content, various calculators, structured training programs, and assistance for the NISM V-A certification examination, with future plans for AI-powered book-of-business insights.

Strategic Repositioning

Alongside the platform’s debut, EduFund is rebranding its consumer offering as “Vittam by EduFund.” This shift signifies a strategic move from an education-centric fintech to a comprehensive financial lifecycle platform.

This repositioning aims to enable advisors to cultivate deeper, long-term client relationships. It supports financial decisions across all life stages, moving beyond individual transactions.

The launch reflects a broader transformation within India’s financial advisory landscape. As digital channels enhance wealth product accessibility, differentiation increasingly centers on the quality of advice and client relationships. Platforms like Vittam are crucial for independent advisors to remain competitive and continue serving their client base effectively.
