TraqCheck, a HR tech startup headquartered in London, has announced the successful completion of an $8 million Series A funding round. The investment was led by IvyCap Ventures, with participation from IIFL.

The company plans to allocate the newly acquired capital towards its expansion into the European market. TraqCheck aims to deepen its engagement with SMB and enterprise clients for its background screening agent, Trace. Additionally, the funding will support the scaling of go-to-market strategies for Nina, its recently launched real-time conversational sourcing agent.

Founded by Armaan Mehta and Jaibir Nihal Singh, TraqCheck has developed AI agents designed to automate candidate sourcing, resume screening, and background check coordination for recruiters.

Prior to this funding round, TraqCheck received backing from angel investors including Peyush Bansal, founder of Lenskart, and Alok Oberoi, Chairman of Everstone Capital.

In a joint statement, co-founders Armaan Mehta and Jaibir Nihal Singh emphasized the rapid shift from SaaS to AI-native systems, noting that software now requires human operation, whereas agents can execute tasks autonomously. They added that TraqCheck is focused on building systems that facilitate collaboration and decision-making, rather than simply providing information.

TraqCheck reports having grown to nearly 300 enterprise customers across India and Europe, with mid-market and large organizations utilizing Trace for automated background verification.

Vikram Gupta, Founder and Managing Partner at IvyCap Ventures, commented on TraqCheck’s development of a DeepTech AI-native platform that transforms the execution of hiring workflows. He praised the team’s strong product vision and execution in applying autonomous agents to address enterprise challenges in talent acquisition and verification.

TraqCheck anticipates that HR will be among the first operational areas to experience full automation as enterprises experiment with AI across various departments. The company is betting on a future where hiring teams rely more on digital colleagues and less on traditional dashboards.

Mehekka Oberoi, Fund Manager at IIFL Fintech Fund, stated that IIFL supports companies building defensible infrastructure at the intersection of AI and enterprise workflows. Oberoi described TraqCheck as a vertically integrated AI-native platform that replaces legacy HR software entirely, rather than simply layering intelligence onto it.
