Mumbai International Airport (MIAL) has imposed a significant penalty on AI Airport Services Ltd (AIASL) following an incident involving damage to a Gulf Air aircraft.
The airport operator has fined AIASL Rs 10 lakh after a detached dolly led to a collision with the parked aircraft. The incident not only caused physical damage but also resulted in reputational harm and financial implications for the airport authorities.
The collision has prompted a review of ground handling procedures at Mumbai International Airport to prevent future occurrences.
