Company Footprint & Financials

Established in 1991 by Dr. Ranjan Pai, Manipal Health Enterprises operates 49 hospitals. As of March 31, 2026, it managed 13,037 beds across 14 states and union territories.

This network positions it as one of India’s largest multispecialty hospital chains by bed capacity and facilities. The company focuses on specialties such as cardiac sciences, oncology, neurosciences, and gastro sciences.

Financially, Manipal Health Enterprises recorded consistent growth in revenue, EBITDA, and net worth from FY24 to FY26. However, net profit showed a slight decrease in FY26 compared to FY25.

Revenue generation occurs through direct patient payments, insurance, third-party administrators, government schemes, and corporate partnerships.

Risks Ahead

A significant reliance on insurance, third-party administrators, and government schemes for revenue poses a risk of payment delays, potentially impacting cash flows.

While the IPO aims to reduce debt, the company’s ongoing expansion plans could lead to increased debt levels in the future. Investors are advised to evaluate fundamentals, corporate governance, and valuations thoroughly, rather than relying solely on the brand name, before making investment decisions.
