Mahindra & Mahindra earned a 5-star safety rating for the XUV 3XO ZNG under the Bharat New Car Assessment Programme. The vehicle achieved an adult protection score of 29.36 from a maximum of 32, alongside 45 points out of 49 for child protection. This model is the first sub-compact CNG SUV in India to reach this safety level.
The company stated that the SUV includes more than 35 standard safety features. These items consist of six airbags, Electronic Stability Control and ISOFIX child-seat mounts. The vehicle also features a gas-leak detection system that automatically switches the engine to petrol mode if a leak occurs. This rating follows the 5-star Bharat NCAP certification received by the XUV 3XO model in November 2024.
