Ambuja Cements is launching a fresh growth cycle involving new projects to boost its cement output by 30 MTPA. The business announced that its capital expenditure plan for these developments totals around ₹14,500 crore.
This initiative will broaden the firm’s production footprint throughout the North, East, and West regions. The project involves installing grinding units with 15.5 MTPA in the West, 11.6 MTPA in the East, and 2.9 MTPA in the North. To support this, the company will also build additional clinker facilities in the East and West. These efforts, combined with debottlenecking, are intended to lift total capacity to 155 MTPA by FY30.
The company stated that these additions will improve market share and lower manufacturing expenses through better operational efficiency. By placing plants nearer to customers, the business expects to decrease logistics costs and lead distances. It aims to reach a cost of ₹4,000 PMT by FY28. Furthermore, the firm expects its overall capacity to hit 119 MTPA by the end of March 2027.
