Indian firms Tata Capital and Birlasoft led a strong earnings season, reporting substantial profit increases for the quarter ended June 2026. This comes as Asian markets concluded Tuesday mostly lower, influenced by global economic caution.
Key Q1 Profit Surges
Tata Capital announced a significant 75.93% surge in profit after tax, reaching Rs 9994.40 million for the June 2026 quarter. This compares to Rs 5680.80 million in the same period last year.
- Revenue for Tata Capital increased by 13.62% to Rs 63341.20 million.
- Operating profit for the quarter stood at Rs 45018.10 million.
Birlasoft also demonstrated robust first-quarter results, with profit after tax vaulting an impressive 299.95% to Rs 1467.85 million. The company’s sales for the quarter grew significantly.
- Sales for Birlasoft surged 32.34% to Rs 8291.62 million.
- Operating profit for Birlasoft reached Rs 2137.59 million.
UFO Moviez India additionally reported a 12.33% increase in profit after tax for the June 2026 quarter, reaching Rs 41.00 million. The company’s revenue also saw a healthy rise.
- UFO Moviez’s revenue grew 12.71% to Rs 919.60 million.
- Operating profit for UFO Moviez stood at Rs 191.20 million.

In management-related news, Indoco Remedies’ board re-appointed Aditi Panandikar as Managing Director for a five-year term, effective from February 15, 2027, to February 14, 2032. This re-appointment is subject to shareholder approval.
