State Bank of India gets nod for ₹60,000 crore fundraise for FY27. Sportking India commissions solar project in Punjab, expecting cost savings.
SBI Cleared for ₹60,000 Crore Fundraise
State Bank of India (SBI) has received approval to raise up to ₹60,000 crore during FY27 through various debt instruments.
- The funds can be raised in INR and/or other convertible currencies.
- Instruments include Long Term Bonds, Basel III compliant Additional Tier 1 Bonds, and Basel III compliant Tier 2 Bonds.
- Issuance will be via public offer or private placement to Indian and/or Overseas investors.
- Approval was granted by the Central Board on June 18, 2026, subject to Government of India approval where required.
Sportking India Commissions Solar Project in Punjab
In a separate development, Sportking India has successfully commenced commercial operations of its solar power project in Punjab, effective June 18, 2026.
- The project is projected to reduce the company’s annual power costs by around 12-13%.
- It aims to strengthen operational efficiencies and reinforce environmental objectives.
- The initiative contributes to reducing the company’s carbon footprint and increasing clean energy use.
