Consumer fintech Current has successfully closed an $80 million Series E funding round, propelling its valuation to $1.5 billion. This latest injection brings the company’s total funding to $682.4 million, earmarked for significant growth initiatives.

Concurrently with the funding, Current has expanded its collaboration with Cross River to enhance its liquidity and credit product capabilities. It has also extended its commitment with General Catalyst’s Customer Value Fund.
