Tata Power Secures Rs 521 Crore Transmission Project
Tata Power Company has received a Letter of Intent (LoI) from REC Power Development and Consultancy for the acquisition of Ryapte Power Transmission, a project special purpose vehicle (SPV). This venture, operating on a Build-Own-Operate Transfer (BOOT) basis, promises transmission services for 35 years from its Scheduled Commercial Operation Date (SCOD).
Key details of the project include:
- Annual transmission charges of Rs 521.07 crore.
- Construction and commissioning of approximately 250 km line route.
- The route comprises 400 kV D/C line, 220 kV D/C line, and 220 kV Underground cable.
- SCOD is set 30 months after the SPV transfer.
Tata Motors Inks MoU for Vehicle Replacement Scheme
Separately, Tata Motors has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways (MoRTH). This partnership supports the Government of India’s scheme for the replacement of old trucks and buses in the Delhi-NCR region.
Under the agreement, Tata Motors will provide:
- An 8 percent discount on the ex-showroom price of eligible trucks and buses purchased under the scheme.
- For electric vehicles, the discount is capped at the discount applicable to an Internal Combustion Engine (ICE) vehicle of the equivalent Gross Vehicle Weight (GVW) category.
